Indian Cricket Fans experienced a mini scare yesterday in the crucial India Vs Pakistan game as skipper Rohit Sharma and pacer Mohammed Shami went off the field to tend to their injuries.

Shami was seen struggling due to a possible injury and discomfort on his shin after bowling his first spell, leading to him going off the ground to address the issue.

Captain Rohit Sharma was also spotted in a bad phase due to a supposed hamstring injury, leading to running issues near the end of India’s bowling innings.

The captain also spent a lot of time off-field, possibly tending to the same injury.

Indian batter Shreyas Iyer was later questioned on the seriousness of these injuries, and whether they could have an impact on future matches.

He said, “Not really. I mean, I had a brief chat with them, both of them were quite comfortable with the way things progressed, and yeah, from my knowledge, I don’t think there is any issue.”

With India set to face New Zealand on March 2nd in the last match of the group stages, the ideal scenario for the team would be for its players to be in good shape and form, both physically and mentally.

It will be interesting to see whether ‘Men in Blue’ can beat the Kiwis to cement their spot in the semis, further paving the way towards the trophy.
