Following the incident, the Board of Control for Cricket in India Anti Corruption and Security Unit sent a notice to Romi Bhinder. The unit is responsible for monitoring rule violations and maintaining fair play during the tournament.

Reports suggest Romi Bhinder has serious health concerns. In the past, both his lungs had collapsed, and he required ventilator support. He also spent nearly a month in hospital recovering.

He is said to have asthma and is advised to avoid excessive walking or climbing stairs. This condition may have influenced his decision to keep the phone with him during the match.

The matter has sparked debate among fans on social media. Some believe rules must be followed strictly without exception. Others feel his health condition should be taken into account before any action.

Sources indicate he was not making calls and only checking the phone. It is also said that accessing the dressing room involves physical effort, which may have been difficult for him.

The final decision now rests with the Anti Corruption and Security Unit. They are expected to consider both the rules and his medical situation before taking any action.
