The fourth test match between India and England has officially begun. With Captain Ben Stokes winning the toss, it seems that he has decided to go off the books for this one, opting to field first.
While the probabilities of winning for a team fielding first at English pitches have been significantly less than 50%, they have been completely zero when it comes to Old Trafford.
Hence, it’s only natural that Stokes’ decision to win the toss and field first has been garnering a lot of noise from everyone who calls themselves a cricket pundit.
Team India also seems to have stepped up to the occasion in doing its bid to make sure that the record remains unbroken.
As of 42.3 overs, India has been in a fairly strong position, scoring 122 runs, even though it has lost two important wickets.
It will be interesting to see if the Men in Blue can hold their line to make sure that the beautiful zero at Old Trafford remains exactly the same.
