Manu Bhaker creates history. India won its second medal in the Paris Olympics 2024. It’s the bronze again. Manu Bhaker, along with Sarabjot Singh, won the 10m air pistol mixed team bronze medal match against South Korea’s Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho.
The match was mostly a one-sided affair as the Indian duo defeated the Korean duo with a score of 16-10. Right from the first round, the Indians dominated the game.
The Koreans tried bouncing back but Manu and Sarabjot made sure to win the match comfortably without making fans bite their nails.
With this victory, Manu Bhaker became the first Indian to bag two Olympic medals in a single edition since independence.
Just a couple of days ago, she emerged as the first female shooter from India to bag an Olympic medal. She won a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event.
Manu will soon participate in the 25m Air Pistol events in this Olympics. Fans are hoping that she will clinch a medal in that event too.
