Paris Olympics 2024 is set to begin tomorrow. India recorded its best-ever performance in the last Olympics seven medals in total. The Indian contingent is aiming to break that record in these Olympics.
Meanwhile, we have three Telangana women competing in this year’s Olympics. They are Akula Srija (Table Tennis), Nikhat Zareen (Boxing) and Isha Singh (Shooting).

India never won a medal in Table Tennis till now. But people are hoping that Hyderabadi girl Akula Srija will break the jinx this time.
Srija has been in phenomenal form since winning a Gold Medal in Mixed-Doubles with Sharath Kamal in the 2022 Common Wealth Games.

This year, she secured World Rank no. 24 in June this year by winning the women’s singles in WTT Contender Lagos 2024. She is currently the top-ranked female TT player in the country.
People need no introduction to the champion from Nizamabad, Nikhat Zareen. She won the World Championship in the 50 kg category in 2022 and 2023. She also won the Gold Medal at the Common Wealth Games 2022.

Now, she vowed to bring an Olympic medal home as well. This is her first Olympic appearance.
19-year-old Hyderabadi girl Isha Singh is the latest sensation in the Indian shooting arena. She won the National Championship at the age of 13. In the Junior World Championship 2022, Isha won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze medal.
In the Asia Games 2022, she grabbed attention by winning four medals in total, including a gold medal. Isha is hoping to continue her supreme form by winning an Olympic medal.
