Sunrisers Hyderabad has the collective support of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana people as it is regarded as a team that represents the Telugu states. But there are occasional disturbances in harmony and a similar pattern was observed recently.
There is this one particular video that is going viral on social media, and this was apparently from the Hyderabad Stadium during one of SRH’s games recently.
In the video, we get to see fan celebrating the occasion while a small laser presentation is projected on the ground. This laser design is that of the state map of Telangana. This immediately created a public discourse.
Many people have commented on this video by saying that it was completely unnecessary to provoke regional emotions by projecting the map of Telangana while ignoring Andhra Pradesh. People are commenting that this is a disruptive campaign to outcast Andhra demographic.
And at the same time, a few hard-core Telangana supporters who happened to like SRH are commenting that it’s well within their right to project whichever state or representation they want at the Hyderabad Stadium, which belongs to Telangana. They are calling out these Andhra supporters of SRH.
Whatever might be the reason it is completely unnecessary and provocative to include regional conflict in a supporting activity with no real positive outcome. The neutral opinion is that such activities must be completely avoided in the future.
