Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has reportedly rejected the biggest brand deal offered to a cricketer as he parts ways with Puma after 8 years. The RCB superstar is now backing an Indian brand and focusing more on his personal investments.

According to reports, Kohli was offered a jaw-dropping ₹300 crore deal by Puma to continue as its brand ambassador for the next eight years. This was almost thrice the price the German brand had signed Kohli for in 2017 at ₹110 crore for 8 years.

Instead, India’s biggest cricket star is starting a new endeavor with Indian athleisure startup Agilitas Sports—not just as a brand face but as an investor. While the deal would never be as big as Puma’s, Kohli is aiming to expand his own One8 brand as a global sportswear identity through this partnership.

This news also coincides with Kohli recently moving all his ads from his Instagram feed to the reels section. A superstar as big as him has achieved almost everything there is to offer and this shift just proves that he is shifting more toward personal ventures than just being a billboard for brands to buy.
