Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal has reportedly married content creator Shweta Pundir in a private ceremony. The wedding was held on February 4 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Only close family members and relatives attended the intimate event.
The couple has not officially confirmed the marriage on social media yet. However, the news began circulating after Shweta Pundir posted a short Instagram reel. The clip featured a few moments with Yash Dayal and quickly caught fans’ attention online.
Shweta Pundir is a Delhi based content creator and social media influencer. She currently has more than 587k followers on Instagram. Her content regularly attracts strong engagement from her growing online audience.
Apart from content creation, she has also worked in the broadcasting space. Shweta Pundir was part of the coverage team during the Intercontinental Legends League. This role added another dimension to her professional profile.
On the cricket front, Yash Dayal has steadily built a reputation through domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League. His performances in domestic competitions helped him gain attention from IPL franchises and cricket followers.
Dayal first grabbed headlines when Gujarat Titans signed him for the 2022 IPL season. He was part of the GT squad that won the championship in their debut season. The victory brought significant recognition to the young pacer.
The left arm fast bowler later joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru for IPL 2024. Since then, he has been a regular part of the team’s pace attack. He was also in the squad when RCB won their first IPL title last year.
The franchise has retained Yash Dayal for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. His presence adds depth to the bowling unit as the team prepares for another competitive campaign. RCB fans will be hoping for more strong performances from the pacer.
Dayal has also received a call up to the Indian team for a home Test series against Bangladesh. However, he is yet to make his international debut. The opportunity marked an important milestone in his growing career.
Off the field, Dayal has also been involved in a legal matter. Earlier this year, the Rajasthan High Court granted him anticipatory bail after a lower court had rejected his earlier plea. The case is currently under legal process.
Meanwhile, Dayal is expected to feature in RCB’s bowling unit as the IPL 2026 season begins. The defending champions will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening match. The game is scheduled for March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
