But Mohanlal has not delivered anything good for quite a long time now and it is probable that his fans do not keep much hope with him now.

His movies like Neru and Malaikottai Vaaliban did not come up with expected results and his directorial venture ‘Barroz’ was a disaster too.
Both Malaikottai Vaaliban and Barroz were big budget movies that disappointed fans. But there is little chance that L2: Empuraan will follow their path.

Prithviraj Sukumaran has impressed people with his direction in ‘Lucifer’, the first installment of the movie. And the cliffhanger ending, the superb suspense and beeautiful screenplay is expected to return again with Empuraan.
The sequel factor will work in the favour of the movie and there is all probability that Mohanlal will regain his popularity as a superstar.

Hindi-speaking audiences are waiting eagerly for the movie too and it is having a release in 500 screens in Hindi. This is huge and Empuraan can go on to be the highest grossing Malayalam movie in north-India.
