The Kollywood film Idhayam Murali starring Atharvaa, Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan in the lead roles and directed by debutant Aakash Baskaran, was released in theatres on July 10th and has received mixed responses from audiences.
Since Idhayam Murali also featured Fahadh Faasil, Thaman and Niharika NM playing crucial roles, it had decent pre-release hype among the audience, and many believed that the film would emerge as a successful venture.
But, unfortunately, Idhayam Murali has received mixed responses and is performing averagely at the box office. Other than in Tamil Nadu, Idhayam Murali is almost heading towards a washout in other markets.
However, despite the impactless theatrical run, people who have watched Idhayam Murali are appreciating Fahadh Faasil’s acting performance in the film and suggesting that his portions are the only positives of Idhayam Murali.
Furthermore, they note that even though he did an extended cameo role in this film, his presence is felt throughout the movie and the 10-minute climax portion featuring reference songs from Fahadh Faasil’s previous films is the best sequence in the whole movie.
Fahadh Faasil consistently acts in Kollywood and delivers at least one film every year. Although other than Vikram, his other movies have not emerged as huge blockbuster successes, his acting performances in all of them have highly impressed Kollywood audiences. Similarly, even though Idhayam Murali is performing averagely at the box office, his acting performance in the film has won the hearts of the audience.
Ultimately, it remains to be seen how Idhayam Murali is going to perform at the box office and whether it emerges as a profitable venture with the help of Fahadh Faasil in the following days.
