Following the failure of Coolie, Rajinikanth is all set to return with his next release, which is his highly anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, and it is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15th.
Since the original Jailer was a massive success, and because Nelson Dilipkumar has turned the sequel into a huge pan-Indian biggie by casting popular star actors from North to South, Jailer 2 carries huge expectations among audiences.
In this scenario, a prominent overseas distributor recently posted a tweet quoting Thalaivar Nirantharam, Book Your Ticket and Thank me later along with some fire and trophy emojis. The same distributor posted another tweet a few hours later stating that Jailer 2 is 165 minutes of Superstar’s supremacy, accompanied by multiple fire emojis.
Even though he did not directly state that these were his reviews for Jailer 2 after watching it, many social media users are considering them as the first review of the film, with some believing that Jailer 2 will be a solid film and emerge as a massive success.
Meanwhile, others pointed out his previous review for Toxic, where he claimed it was a solid film and that the theatrical experience was going to be mental. They claim that this distributor has poor judgment in reviewing films and are advising others not to build over expectations for Jailer 2 based solely on his review.
They also suggest that until genuine public reviews drop on release day, we should not believe these rumours, as they feel they might be paid reviews or posted simply to boost the pre-release hype.
However, it remains to be seen whether Jailer 2 will satisfy the expectations of audiences and emerge as a blockbuster success upon its release on October 15th.
