Jailer 2 has once again grabbed attention due to fresh speculation surrounding an important cameo role in the film. The sequel starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar recently completed shooting. Sun Pictures officially confirmed the wrap by sharing pictures from the film’s wrap party.
From the beginning, Jailer 2 has generated huge expectations among audiences. Much of the excitement comes from ongoing rumours about several star actors making cameo appearances in the film.
A few months ago, veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty revealed in an interview that he and Shah Rukh Khan would appear in cameo roles in Jailer 2. The statement quickly became a major talking point among fans across industries.
However, reports now suggest that Shah Rukh Khan could not continue with the project due to his commitments to King. As a result, the portions planned with Shah Rukh Khan reportedly remain unfinished.
Amid these developments, strong speculation suggests that the makers are now considering Hrithik Roshan for the same cameo role. Though there is still no official confirmation, the rumours have already sparked mixed reactions online.
Some fans believe Hrithik Roshan could be a strong replacement for Shah Rukh Khan. Others feel the impact of the role may depend entirely on how the character is written and presented on screen.
A section of audiences also believes Shah Rukh Khan’s screen presence and popularity could have added a different level of impact to the cameo. At the same time, some fans feel Hrithik Roshan may not have the same level of mass connect in the South market.
Because of this, many viewers feel the makers should cast Hrithik Roshan only if the cameo role has enough importance in the story. Otherwise, they believe the team should explore other alternatives for the character.
So far, there has been no official update from the makers regarding the speculation. It remains to be seen whether Hrithik Roshan will eventually join Jailer 2 and whether the cameo can create a strong impact after release.
