On Tuesday, Nayanthara made a heartfelt request to her fans, media, and the film fraternity to address her by her name rather than the widely used title “Lady Superstar.”
In a letter shared with the public, the actress expressed gratitude for the immense love and support she has received throughout her journey in cinema.

She acknowledged the affection behind the title but emphasized that her name ‘Nayanthara’ is what she holds closest to her heart as it represents her identity both as an individual and an artist. She made it clear she doesn’t like to be called Lady Superstar.
“Titles and accolades are priceless, but they can sometimes create an image that separates us from our craft and the unconditional bond we share with the audience,” Nayanthara stated in her note.
