The Nayanthara vs. Dhanush controversy was one of the most trending topics in Kollywood a few weeks ago, but it eventually faded from discussions.
However, Nayanthara’s latest interview has once again added fuel to the fire.
Nayanthara reopened the issue, and it has once again become the talk of the town.
In the interview, she said that the open letter she posted against Dhanush was not meant to tarnish his image in the public eye, nor was it a PR strategy to promote her wedding documentary.
She explained that when she tried to reach Dhanush to acquire the NOC, he seemed unwilling to talk to her.
When she contacted Dhanush’s manager to arrange a phone call with him to understand the issue, Dhanush also avoided the call.
After multiple rejections, she stopped trying to acquire the NOC for the movie clips and instead sought permission to use just four lines of a song penned by Vignesh Shivan, which held significant meaning for their love. However, Dhanush refused to grant permission for that as well.
Additionally, she mentioned that when the trailer for their wedding documentary was released, a legal notice was sent regarding the BTS clips, even though those clips were part of the original contract.
She also said she attempted to resolve the misunderstanding between herself and Dhanush so they could be friends again.
Following the interview, many people on social media began trolling Nayanthara.
They criticized her for speaking humbly in the interview while having harshly criticized Dhanush’s character in the open letter, accusing her of seeking sympathy and publicity.
