After the trailer of Dragon, many people thought that Dragon would be similar in the zone of Sivakarthikeyan’s Don, with college comedy portions and emotional climaxes, and many netizens trolled Ashwath Marimuthu that he is just making a remake of Sivakarthikeyan’s Don.

But Ashwath Marimuthu proved them wrong by delivering a content-oriented commercial entertainer with a good screenplay. After watching the movie, many people appreciated Ashwath Marimuthu for delivering such a close-to-reality movie.
Ashwath Marimuthu is slowly turning out to be the most wanted director of Kollywood after delivering two back-to-back blockbusters, even though his Telugu debut movie Ori Devuda, which is a remake of his debut Kollywood movie Oh My Kadavule, ended up as a failure.

Now, after the success of Dragon, Ashwath Marimuthu has already started the pre-production works of his next with Silambarasan TR. Apart from Kollywood audiences, Ashwath Marimuthu has also earned a huge fan base in Telugu, as Dragon’s Telugu version is doing good business in Telugu states.
