Recently, actor Jagan, who appeared in a supporting role in the movie, posted an image on his Instagram account with an Edison Award.
In his post, he mentioned that he won the Edison Award for Best Character Role for his performance in Indian 2, and he thanked Shankar and Kamal Haasan for the opportunity. This post has now gone viral.
Following this, some netizens on social media began trolling, commenting that it seemed Indian 2 had paid for the award, as the movie was a scrap and Jagan’s acting performance in the movie was one of the worst performances of all time.
Additionally, Kollywood audiences are saying that award functions like these are a major threat to the industry, as they encourage influential movie teams rather than real talent.
Apart from trolling Jagan, netizens have also started trolling Indian 2 again, and it seems Shankar’s Indian 2 keeps resurfacing again and again to mock him.
Although the Edison Awards are somewhat familiar, the Best Character Role award presented to Jagan for Indian 2 is not at all acceptable to audiences.
