Vijay Jana Nayagan

Jana Nayagan, the much-anticipated film of Tamil superstar Vijay, was officially announced on January 26, 2025, coinciding with India’s 76th Republic Day.

Directed by H Vinoth, this movie carries special significance as Vijay’s final cinematic project before dedicating himself fully to politics.

The first look poster shows Vijay in a salt-and-pepper look, taking a selfie atop a campaign van. This reminds fans of his iconic selfie during the Master shoot in Neyveli in 2020. The film appears to be a political drama, aligning with Vijay’s real-life political goals.

Fans are excited but some opinions are divided. Many hoped for an entertaining final film from Vijay rather than a politically charged story.

There are rumors that the movie is a remake of Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. However, going by the first look, the storyline seems to be adjusted to suit Vijay’s image and political journey and may not be a scene-to-scene remake.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Vijay’s Beast co-star Pooja Hegde, Bollywood veteran Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mamitha Baiju.
