Vikram’s most expected Thangalaan was released in theatres on August 15th and acquired mixed responses from both critics and audiences. This movie dips in the box office after the first week, but the production team claims this movie is a blockbuster.
Vikram’s Thangalaan was directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green Productions. This movie clashed with Demonte Colony-2. Although the opening of this movie was big because of mixed responses, the movie wasn’t able to pull off the expected numbers.
Fake box office collections and blockbuster claims were used as a trick to portray a movie as a good one among the general audiences for quite a few years in Kollywood. Thangalaan was opened well, but general audiences didn’t like the movie, and Demonte Colony-2, which was released with this movie, was a huge success and has collected more than Thangalaan in many centers. Although Vikram brings up a soul for this movie with his remarkable performance, all went in vain due to the weak storyline of the movie.
Yesterday Studio Green Productions posted a poster that Thangalaan was a blockbuster, and many audiences and trackers were tweeting against it as Thangalaan was a box office failure. Production houses claim the movie as a blockbuster was cheap as it plays with trust factors among the audiences.
