Vetrimaaran, after Viduthalai 2, had started the pre-production works for his next with Suriya, which is Vaadivaasal. However, there is now strong speculation that this project has been shelved.
Vaadivaasal is one of the most anticipated projects in Kollywood, which was supposed to have started earlier, but due to Vetrimaaran’s prior commitments, it got delayed.
After Viduthalai 2, Vetrimaaran immediately began the pre-production works for Vaadivaasal, and Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who is the producer for Vaadivaasal, announced that Vaadivaasal had officially commenced.
But now there is strong speculation that, due to some circumstances, Vaadivaasal has been dropped, and Vetrimaaran, to compensate for his commitment to Kalaipuli S. Thanu, is planning to start a fresh project starring Silambarasan TR as the lead.
Following this strong buzz, Suriya’s fans were shocked, and some netizens even commented that it just looks like social media speculation, as G.V. Prakash Kumar has already announced that he has started the music composition for Vaadivaasal. So, there may be a misunderstanding, and believe that Vaadivaasal won’t be dropped.
Meanwhile, some Kollywood trackers are repeatedly posting about this update on social media and commenting that it’s a significant loss for Suriya.
Earlier, when Suriya opted out of Purananooru with Sudha Kongara, his fans were disappointed with his decision, and many even criticized him. Now, if the buzz becomes true and ‘Vaadivaasal’ gets dropped, it may shatter them, say Kollywood audiences.
However, there are still no official updates on this, and it remains to be seen whether Vaadivaasal has indeed been dropped and if Silambarasan TR and Vetrimaaran will collaborate.
