The shooting of Vijay’s final movie, Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, is progressing at a fast pace, and the film is scheduled for a Pongal 2026 release.
Vijay has officially announced that Jana Nayagan will be his last movie, and once he completes the project, he will enter full-time politics.
However, some Vijay fans on social media are speculating that after the 2026 elections, Vijay might resume his acting career, with Leo 2 being his immediate project.
They point out that Kamal Haasan had made similar statements about quitting films upon entering politics but has since continued acting in several movies. Likewise, they believe Vijay may also return to acting post the 2026 elections.
Even some trade experts are predicting that Vijay might take a short break and return to films after the elections.
However, it remains to be seen whether Vijay will follow his fans’ expectations and make a comeback to cinema or stay committed to his political journey full-time.
