Vijay Sethupathi’s milestone 50th movie, Maharaja, directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, which was released on June 14th in theatres, was a blockbuster success and was showered with positive responses from the audiences.
As per reports, Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja movie earned around 109 crores worldwide in its theatrical run, and after its theatrical run, this movie was released on the Netflix OTT platform on July 12th.

In OTT too, this movie was a tremendous success, and many audiences around the world have appreciated the movie. After the monstrous success in both Theatrical release and in OTT, the makers of the movie released this movie in a Chinese-dubbed version in China on November 29th.
Maharaja was released on almost 40,000 screens in China and has acquired positive responses from many audiences. As per reports, till yesterday the Maharaja movie has collected around 40 crores in China,

As per trade sources, as of now, Maharaja has minted around 149 crores worldwide, and still only around 2 crores were left to beat Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 movie, which has collected almost 151 crores worldwide to acquire the 5th position of the Top 5 Highest Grossing Kollywood Movies of this year.
The first 4 places were occupied by Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time, with almost 460 crores, Amaran with 339 crores, Vettaiyan with 256 crores, and Raayan with 155 crores.

Also, as per reports, Maharaja is the first Tamil movie to collect ¥35 million in China, which is 40 crores in Indian rupees. Looks like Maharaja has a good chance in the coming week to break many records in China.
