Tech-giant Apple has cancelled its plans to build self-driving electric cars, which had been an ambitious project of the company. Apple has been secretly working on it for the last 10 years.
According to the reports, Apple shifted some of its employees who were working on this project to the divisions working on Artificial Intelligence. It is heard that the others are expected to be laid off by the company.
Reportedly, Apple invested billions of dollars in building self-driving cars and appointed over 2000 employees for the same.
Many automobile giants and Apple enthusiasts have been eagerly looking forward to this autonomous vehicle for a long time.
Though Apple never revealed about this secret project, it was reported that the brand planned to price its car around $100,000. It was expected to be a rival to the Elon Musk-owned Tesla.
