Apple is going to introduce ChatGPT in Siri on all Apple devices as the company partners with OpenAI. The news was shared by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman himself who seemed excited about the development.
ChatGPT will be integrated in Siri and Apple device users would be able to use the generative AI tool remotely with much greater accessibility. There will be no requirement for any additional OpenAI account to access the feature.
Moreover, ChatGPT will not be saving the search queries as no account needs to be connected. The premium version of the AI tool will be available for those who have subscribed to it and it won’t be included with the free Siri version.
This can potentially start a new race to equip smartphones with AI at a level not seen before. Amidst a growing concern around AI and its misuse, this comes as a boost for the industry.
