Russia, France, and Spain are in the second, third, and fourth positions on the list respectively. India, which was seventh on the list in 2022, moved up to fifth place this time. However, there has been a 56% decrease in the breach rate compared to 2022.
This ranking is compiled by Surfshark using data from independent partners sourced from 29,000 publicly available databases. Data breaches pose a significant threat to internet users’ security. Typically, hackers breach data to send spam emails and potentially distribute viruses to computers.
