Just when you thought that India’s education system is very backward, we have big news.
India has recently opened its first AI-powered school in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The Santhigiri Vidyabhavan was officially inaugurated by former President Ram Nath Kovind last week.
The establishment of this AI school is the result of a collaboration between iLearning Engines (ILE) USA and Vedhik eSchool. The school’s curriculum aligns with the National School Accreditation Standards, which are based on the New National Education Policy (NEP 2020). This ensures that students will receive a high-quality education that is in line with modern educational practices.
Through AI, the school provides resources, tools, and personalized recommendations to enhance learning outcomes. This innovative approach to education equips students with the skills they need to navigate the challenges of an ever-changing world.
Initially, the AI school will cater to students in grades 8 to 12. Moreover, the AI school isn’t limited to standard educational content. It also prepares students for major exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, GMAT, and IELTS, thereby serving as a comprehensive educational resource.
This is just one of a kind school and it is far from getting implemented for the masses of India. The question also remains how efficient and good it is for the students. This one school doesn’t solve all the problems of Indian students but it is certainly a ray of hope.
