Elon Musk confirmed that X is going to charge its new users a small amount of fees to like, comment, tweet and bookmark.
Musk responded in a tweet that , “Unfortunately, a small fee for new user write access is the only way to curb the relentless onslaught of bots.
Current AI (and troll farms) can pass “are you a bot” with ease.”
Revealing that in order to stop the bot spam, he is applying this method of payment as for the modern AI “Are You A Bot” tests are too easy.
But a question can arise that is it necessary to apply a payment method just to like, comment and tweet !
Musk further said that, the bot accounts are taking up good name space, and the real users can’t use the name they like. To prevent such things he is applying this.
The fee will be a very nominal one, it can be as low as $1 which in Indian rupee is ₹85.
