In partnership with 9 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) throughout the nation, Reliance Industries Ltd. unveiled a novel artificial intelligence (AI) model that is poised to completely transform the country’s technological environment.
This joint venture, led by IIT Bombay and supported by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology, seeks to overcome important obstacles in the field of artificial intelligence research and establish India as a leader in the world of AI.
An AI model created by Reliance is a large-scale model of language that was trained in 22 Indian languages. Originally intended to reply in 11 languages, the model will eventually support all 22. With its multimodal AI capabilities, it can create text-to-text, text-to-speech, text-to-video, and vice versa material.
This makes it useful in various industries, including education, healthcare, financial services, and government. With a size and complexity ranging from 1.5 billion to 40 billion, the model can provide Indian languages with sophisticated and contextually appropriate replies. To encourage creativity and accessibility, the model is open-sourced.
