India leads the world in artificial intelligence initiatives, with 91% of organisations anticipating using half or more of their data for AI models by 2024. The other top three AI-producing nations are the US, Singapore, and the UK. While 36% of AI-lagging countries lack AI initiatives, 60% of AI-leading countries have AI programmes operational or in the pilot stage.

In AI-leading nations, 67% of businesses report having hybrid IT setups; Japan trails behind at 24% and India leads at 70%. The differences between AI leaders and laggards are emphasised in the research.

According to the survey, 70% of AI initiatives across a variety of industries are either operational or in the pilot stage, with technology topping the pack at 70%.

Additionally, the study reveals that larger organisations with more than 250 workers are more likely to be working on AI projects (62% of these organisations reported having ongoing initiatives).

AI leaders benefits such as a 45% improvement in customer experience, a 50% increase in production rates, and a 46% automation of regular tasks. Even still, 42% of businesses in AI-lagging nations are optimising their IT environments for AI, indicating that even these countries are making headway in preparing their IT environments for AI.
