Jio is indeed doing everything to win over the hearts of their users. Their entertainment venture brought smiles to the faces and with the livestreaming success, they are establishing themselves as one strong contender. But now, Jio is reportedly stepping into the market of artificial intelligence.
Previously, Sam Altman stated that India won’t be able to develop an AI like ChatGPT with such low cost. That was enough for Jio to take the challenge up and during the 46th Reliance Annual General Meeting, Ambani stated the fact that he is willing to enter the AI market.
“Jio promises AI to everyone, everywhere. And we shall deliver,” Ambani stated. Ambani also mentioned that Jio Platforms aspired to take the lead in the endeavor to create AI models tailored to India’s needs and AI-driven solutions spanning various sectors. He emphasized the goal of extending the advantages of AI to Indian citizens, businesses, and the government.
Jio is getting ready to enter the generative AI and not only for the national market but is willing to provide a global alternative.
Ambani recognizes India’s potential due to its size, data resources, and talent. However, he stresses the need for robust digital infrastructure to handle AI’s computational demands.
In response, Reliance plans to create 2000 MW of AI-ready computing capacity in cloud and edge locations, emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.
