Of late, several tech giants in India have mandated their employees to work from the office or at least follow a hybrid model that would require them at the office a few days a week. Now, Dell has announced a major clause in its stance on work from home model.
In the memo given to Dell employees in February, the company has announced that employees who work from home will not be eligible for promotions.
Dell has mentioned that employees can still work from home if they wish to but those who exercise this option will not be eligible for promotions or salary hikes. They will not be eligible for job role upgrades either.
Only the employees who come to the office 3 days a week will be eligible for the mentioned appreciations.
This comes after TCS made the same decision a few months ago, where it was mentioned that WFH employees would not be eligible for promotions and other perks.
