Reports are coming that Spotify will be adding full-length playable music videos to their app. Now, this change will revamp the whole idea and image of the audio streaming platform.
On Spotify, the video-playing features aren’t a revolutionary idea as you can already do that for plenty of podcasts. Even some music video support 30-second video clippings of artists as a background and there is also video advertisements.
There is no official confirmation of this decision from any official source but it has been reported that Spotify already started talking to its partners about the addition of full-length videos.

Apple Music and YouTube Music already provide playable videos in the app and Spotify wants to be a competitor in the space. With as gigantic a user base as Spotify’s, they won’t have to start from scratch.
