Some might expect it to be mostly a male-dominated industry, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Women in the nation have contributed equally to the new venture of startups, and as of now, 47% of startups in the country have at least one woman director.

India has seen the enormous rise of some female-driven companies such as Nykaa, Sugar Cosmetics, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and Mumum Co, which have risen to the top despite any gender bias. Now, it is being reflected in the statistics and will encourage more and more women to initiate and execute their ideas.

Besides this success story of women in the industry, the nation also registers more than 25 thousand startups, and in terms of funding, the number reaches a staggering $25 billion. The nation also reached the 19th place on the global startup scale, and 37 Indian cities are thriving to be the next hub for startups.

As of now, it is very promising, and the conditions will only get better. There will soon be names that will add up to the list of the 108 unicorn companies. The future is indeed bright.
