Passengers on Air India Express flight IX 1526 experienced a major disruption after what was expected to be a routine two-hour journey turned into a lengthy overnight wait. The flight was scheduled to operate from Bengaluru to Jaipur on Saturday evening but faced significant delays.
According to the original schedule, the flight was set to depart from Bengaluru at 7:25 pm and arrive in Jaipur by 10 pm. However, passengers remained stranded at the airport for several hours as the departure time was repeatedly postponed.
Travellers reported that confusion increased throughout the night. Several passengers were allowed to board the aircraft but were later asked to deplane and complete another round of security checks before waiting again for further instructions.
The repeated boarding and deboarding process reportedly caused frustration among passengers. Many also expressed concern over the lack of clear communication regarding the reasons for the delay and the constantly changing departure schedule.
Videos and reports from the airport showed passengers seeking answers from airline and airport officials. The flight carried families, children, elderly passengers, women, and working professionals, many of whom spent the entire night at the airport.
Passengers alleged that the airline continued revising the departure timing without providing a detailed explanation. As the hours passed and uncertainty grew, dissatisfaction increased among travellers waiting for updates.
After multiple delays, Air India Express flight IX 1526 eventually departed from Bengaluru at around 5:35 am on Sunday. The flight took off nearly 10 hours later than originally planned, bringing an end to the prolonged wait.
The aircraft finally landed in Jaipur at approximately 7:50 am. This was almost eight hours later than its scheduled arrival time, resulting in major inconvenience for passengers who had planned a short evening journey.
For many travellers, the biggest issue was not the delay alone but the absence of timely information throughout the night. The repeated disruptions and lack of clarity left passengers demanding greater accountability and improved communication from the airline.
