The ranking is based on a punctuality report released by UK-based aviation analytics firm Cirium. The report places IndiGo among the top on-time carriers in the Asia-Pacific region.

IndiGo secured the sixth position on the Asia-Pacific on-time performance list. The airline recorded an on-time arrival rate of 78.12%. This placed it among the region’s top 10 carriers.

Cirium defines an on-time flight as one arriving within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of its scheduled gate arrival. This standard was applied uniformly across all airlines included in the report.

Strong Numbers Despite Disruptions

Using this metric, IndiGo operated 802,418 flights in 2025 while maintaining consistent punctuality. This was achieved despite operational disruptions faced in early December.

Among Global Aviation Giants

IndiGo’s ranking places it alongside major international carriers such as Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, and All Nippon Airways. This reflects its growing operational credibility.

Top Performers in the Region

Philippine Airlines topped the Asia-Pacific list with an 83.12% on-time arrival rate. The airline achieved this across 116,268 flights during the year.

Global Punctuality Leaders

On the global stage, Aeromexico emerged as the world’s most punctual airline with a 90.02% rate. Qatar Airways followed as the Platinum Winner with 84.42%.

While IndiGo’s performance marks a milestone for Indian aviation, the ranking is likely to raise eyebrows. The airline had faced heavy criticism for flight delays in late 2025, making the achievement a talking point.
