Andhra-Origin Teenager Makes History In U.S.

Born and raised in the United States to Telugu-speaking parents from Andhra Pradesh, Nimmala has maintained a strong connection to his Indian roots while embracing American culture. Nimmala’s selection represents a significant breakthrough for the Indian American community, as no Indian American has played in the major leagues before.
