The FBI has declared a startling $10,000 reward in the perplexing case of Mayushi Bhagat, a 24-year-old Jersey City woman who vanished in 2019.
Currently 29, Bhagat was a student at the New York Institute of Technology when she disappeared, last seen leaving her Jersey City apartment on April 29, 2019, clad in colorful pajama pants and a black T-shirt.
Her family reported her missing on May 1, 2019, after two days of silence. Bhagat, born in India and in the U.S. on an F1 student visa, pursued a career in electrical and electronics engineering. According to reports, she assured her parents she would return to Jersey City on May 3, 2019.
The FBI, in collaboration with the Jersey City Police Department, emphasizes the urgency of public assistance in locating Bhagat. The $10,000 reward is earmarked for information leading to her “location or recovery.”
Bhagat, also known as Mayushi Vikas Bhagat or Mayusi Vikas Bhagat, stands at 5 feet 10 inches, has black hair, brown eyes, and weighs 150 to 160 pounds.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, Bhagat has connections in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The FBI urges anyone with information to contact the Newark Field Office.
