It looks like some Britishers are clearly not doing well with an Indian origin man being their Prime Minister. Their hate for their Prime Minister shows a deeper rooted general hatred towards Indians. This hate often surfaces on the internet and this is exactly what happened during Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Diwali celebration at the 10 Downing Street.
Rishi Sunak hosted Diwali at the official Prime Minister residency and also shared the photos from the event on his social media. Not all the citizens were happy about these photos and they even resorted to hateful comments towards the whole Indian community.
A British citizen attacked these photos and said that the 10 Downing Street looks like a set from a Bollywood film. He even called the gathering at the occasion ‘a mob of Indians celebrating Diwali’.
Netizens were quick to react to this offensive post by the British citizen and called the post racist. They also pointed out the historical irony in the post by the britisher.
In recent times, the West has raised meaningless concerns about ‘outsiders’ taking their place in the country. Posts like these highlights how negligent they have been about their own history and how they got their place in the world.
