Indians in the U.S. on H-1B visas are facing hate comparable to the treatment of illegal immigrants. Indian H-1B holders in the U.S. are among the most obedient and law-abiding individuals, and it is very rare to see them in the news for any involvement in crime.
Putting aside the question of whether every person on H-1B is qualified, the H-1B community as a whole consists of individuals who work legally, follow the rules, and contribute positively to society. Despite this, the hate against H-1B holders is reaching unprecedented levels.

One such instance is depicted in the video below, where a person openly targets Indians, referring to H-1B holders as a “virus” spreading in the U.S.
This hate speech, though illegal, goes unchecked because it targets immigrants. In the video, the person insults H-1B holders, proudly records his statements, and even encourages others to sign a petition labeling H-1B visas as the “deadliest virus” for the U.S.

Is this legal? Is it lawful to insult and dehumanize people who pay taxes and follow the rules? The answer is obviously no. Yet, hate blinds individuals to reason, leading extremists to commit such acts.
Despite this, H-1B holders maintain their dignity. They do not engage in fights or retaliatory actions. Most of them are well-educated, conduct themselves professionally in public, and endure the challenges of the H-1B process—a nightmare in itself—with silence and resilience.
