Miami has become the latest victim of the growing gun culture in the United States. A mass shooting at a bar near downtown Miami has claimed the lives of two people. Another 7 have been injured in the shooting. The situation got out of hand after an altercation at the bar.
A security guard was also killed in the incident and the suspect was gunned down by a police officer. Another police officer sustained a bullet injury during the exchange of fire. All the injured people were rushed to the local trauma center for treatment.
While the police are investigating what caused the altercation, they are forgetting the root cause of such violence in the States. The ease with which anyone can buy and carry guns in the US makes it very easy for anyone to commit such crimes.
Surprisingly, a huge population still believes that carrying these firearms should be a fundamental right. Increasing gun violence gives a reality check to the US which considers itself as the crusaders bringing peace and civilization to the world when they can’t even protect their own people.
