Recent surveys found that more adults in the U.S. are saying they’re LGBTQ+. It’s gone up to 7.6%, which is a big increase from before.
Women are more likely than men to say they’re LGBTQ+. Among women, bisexuality is common, while men often say they’re gay or bisexual.
The group called Generation Z, which includes people born between 1997 and 2012, has the most LGBTQ+ people. This is especially true for women.
Some Indian parentes are worried about LGBTQ+ education in schools. They think it might confuse kids. They see rainbows and other attractive LGBTQ+ symbols in schools and think it’s pushing an agenda.
Many teachers are LGBTQ+. Some Indian immigrant parents are worried their kids might start questioning their gender because of this.
Parents, especially those with American-born Indian kids, are afraid their children might be influenced by LGBTQ+ ideas in schools.
Some people also think kids shouldn’t learn about LGBTQ+ terms when they’re young because it might confuse them about their own gender.
