The relation between India and Canada is showing signs of getting better, it’s quite the opposite. A few days ago, a group of hackers claimed that they are a part of an Indian hacking group and successfully hacked the website of the Armed Force of Canada.
As the tension is rising to an all time high, India has now issued an order to the Canadian government to withdraw roughly 40 diplomats by October 10.
Though, on paper, there has been no official statement from any of the sides, a reputed news outlet recently broke the news.
As of now, Canada has 61 Diplomats in India and as per the new orders, 41 of them should and have to be repatriated by October 10th.
Diplomatic tensions between New Delhi and Ottawa escalated when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested that the Indian government might have been involved in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a designated terrorist in India. Hardeep was shot outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18.
During a debate in the Canadian Parliament, Trudeau mentioned that Canada’s national security officials suspected Indian government involvement in Hardeep’s death.
And as soon as Canada claimed India’s involvement in the matter, India has noted this as absurd and baseless.
