Indian Falls Prey To Brutal HoneytrapA group of three men and two women has been found guilty of committing a “honeytrap” murder in Bushey, Hertfordshire, UK. Vishal Gohel, aged 44, was fatally attacked in his flat on January 23, 2022. The defendants, Tevin Leslie, Sakeen Gordon, Brandon Browne, Yarley Georgia Bruce-Annan, and Faith Hoppie, were convicted of murdering Gohel.

Gohel was expecting to have steamy sex with three women but was instead gagged and beaten by the women’s male accomplices, who arrived to rob him. A neighbor found Gohel’s body, which had obvious signs of severe injuries, including brain damage and fractured vocal cords.

The crime scene was cleaned, and Gohel’s iPhone and iWatch were stolen. The female defendants had made contact with Gohel through an online marketplace, and the men arrived later in a vehicle. No attempts were made to contact emergency services, and the defendants will be sentenced on September 26.

Many Indians are falling prey to such honeytrap murders, which involve luring victims into romantic or sexual encounters as part of a premeditated plan to rob, assault, or kill them. Perpetrators exploit trust and intimacy, often through online platforms. Law enforcement agencies work to raise awareness and encourage caution in relationships with unknown individuals.
