U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested an Indian national in California who is wanted by authorities in Germany in connection with an attempted murder case. According to ICE San Francisco, the arrest took place on June 4 in Fairfield, California.
The individual was identified as Sandeep Singh, 40, an Indian citizen. ICE said Singh had entered the United States from Mexico in 2023 and was later located and taken into custody by enforcement officials.
Officials stated that Germany is seeking Singh in relation to an attempted murder case. However, authorities have not publicly released additional details about the allegations or the timeline of the case.
ICE confirmed that Singh remains in custody and will continue through U.S. immigration proceedings while authorities determine the next legal steps, including possible removal from the United States.
The agency said the case is part of ongoing enforcement efforts involving individuals who are subject to international warrants or immigration violations.
