In a rather gruesome incident, Indian origin businessman Akshay Gupta was murdered by another Indian Deepak Kandel.
The incident occured in Austin, Texas, when Akshay was commuting in a bus. According to the local police, Akshay, 30, was the co-founder of a health-tech startup.
When Akshay was travelling in a bus, he was stabbed to death by another Indian. Deepak Kandel was sitting behind Akshay when he struck the knife into Akshay.
The police reached the location quickly and took Akshay to a hospital. But Akshay was dead already. The incident happened without any altercation.
The police checked the CCTV footage and took the culprit into custody. A case has been filed and the police are investigating it.
Meanwhile, Deepak Kandel told the police that he mistook Akshay for his uncle and stabbed him.
Akshay had completed masters from Penn State University. For his new project, he recently met Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. He was the founder of health tech FootBit.
The startup helps senior citizens improve mobility and balance.
