Indians have been recognized as a people with great minds, and this is evident in their increasing presence in various creative fields and international politics. Notably, in recent times, we have witnessed significant achievements of Indians on the global stage.
In the US, Kamala Harris was elected as the Vice President, marking a historic moment. In the UK, there was a major upsurge when Rishi Sunak became the Prime Minister. Furthermore, news has emerged that three individuals of Indian origin have been elected as Members of Parliament in Singapore.
On Wednesday, three out of nine Nominated Members of Parliament took their oath. The first is Raj Joshua Thomas, a lawyer who has now become an MP for the second consecutive time. The second person is Parekh Nimil Rajnikant, who serves as the CEO of an acquisition firm. The third is Chandradas Usha Ranee, an art historian and founder of a magazine. These newly appointed NMPs will hold their positions for a term of two and a half years.
Other than these people, we have also heard about four Indians competing in the presidential elections of 2024. Additionally, Jagmeet Singh has become the newly appointed leader of the NDP in Canada. The achievements of these individuals showcase the growing influence and recognition of Indians on the global stage across various domains.
