The EB-1A Green Card in the US is meant for top talent, but people are alleging that some Indian techies are scamming their way in. Not just American citizens but fellow Indians are also coming out to expose them.

Legitimate Indian applicants are furious at those paying thousands for fake research papers, citations, and awards. A social media user claimed that these fraudsters use AI-generated papers to get published in “dogsh*t” journals to make their profiles look credible.

Honest Indian techies, responding to this post are now calling them out and demanding action. People claim such fake applications clog the system and delay approvals for genuine applicants.

As a result, USCIS officers, overwhelmed by these cases, are becoming more skeptical of all Indian applications. This maligns the image of the whole community and even deserving candidates now face extra scrutiny, RFEs, and denials.

Even some scientists admit they now doubt papers from India unless they personally know the author’s credibility. The fraud is tarnishing the reputation of the hardworking Indian diaspora in the US.
