A tragic incident which resulted in the death of 62 passengers on an aircraft has shocked the world. A major air crash has taken place in Brazil in which all passengers and crew members met a tragic fatal end. The video of the crash is circulating on the internet and the country is in a state of mourning.
The aircraft crashed in Sao Paulo, Brazil in a residential area of the city. The authorities confirmed the death of all 62 on-board. One house in the neighbourhood of the crash also suffered damages. The president of Brazil addressed the nation after the crash.
Fortunately, there were no ground injuries reported in this accident. The aircraft crashed in a residential area and it could’ve been even more tragic. The actual location of the crash site is 50 miles north-west of Sao Paulo.
The aircraft involved in the crash was an ATR-72. It was a turboprop plane which is usually operated for medium distance flights. The video shows the plane losing control and spiraling down in a free fall. An investigation would be carried out to find the technical issues responsible for the crash. A few days back, a plane had crashed in Nepal as well.
