Anti-Indian activities in the USA is not a new thing. There have been incidents when the two countries were not on the best terms in the 20th century and the USA openly supported Pakistan.
But, in the 21st century, things have changed with India’s rise in the power battle. Still the activities of some elements to cause trouble in India from the outside has been going on.
To counter these things and attacks on Indians in the USA, many affluent members of the community in Silicon Valley had a meeting with the representatives from US DoJ (Department of Justice), FBI and local police.
The members put forward how places of worship and businesses of Indian Americans, especially those belonging to Hindu and Jain communities have been attacked. They even expressed their concerns about the behind the scene works by Khalistani supporters in the US to disrupt peace among Indians.
The members expressed their concerns and asked for support from the FBI and DoJ, which said that it did not know about these situations beforehand.
A working group has been agreed upon to be formed under the guidance of DoJ that will actively pursue safety practices at places of worships and report any unwanted act.
