Two friends from Telangana died in a tragic accident in California. Both had gone to the US to pursue their Masters. After completing their studies, they were staying in California while searching for jobs.
Meghana Rani, 25, and Bhavana, 24, were both from Mahbubnagar district. The accident occurred while they were returning from a vacation with friends. The car they were travelling in fell into a valley on Alabama Hills road.
Meghna was the daughter of Mahbubnagar Mee Seva in-charge Nageswara Rao. Bhavana was the daughter of Mulkanur panchayat vice president Koteswara Rao. The sudden loss has left both families shattered and struggling to cope.
Their deaths add to the growing number of accidents involving Telugu students in the US. Many such incidents are linked to rash driving or overspeeding. Despite repeated government warnings, reckless driving remains a major concern.
