Venkataramana Pittala, a 27-year-old man of Telugu origin and a Masters’ student at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), tragically lost his life in a jet ski accident in Florida on March 9, 2024. The collision occurred between two personal watercraft near Wisteria Island in the Florida Keys.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission reported the incident, stating that the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. One of the operators, Venkataramana Pittala, sustained fatal injuries in the collision. It’s uncertain if anyone else was harmed.
Now, in the wake of this heartbreaking event, Pittala’s family is reaching out for support. They are seeking assistance to cover expenses for transporting his body to India for his final rites and other related costs.
